We start a new collection of songs with every season; three 10-week sessions and a 6-week summer sampler. More classes are available through these Parks and Recreation Departments.
Happy Birthday to us. This 10 year milestone of offering classes in the area of my hometown is special. I met Music Together like most of you. I brought my four month old baby to a class in 1995. As a professional singer in Brooklyn, NY, I was less concerned about baby Henry's musical ability and more concerned about getting out of my house, baby in tow ready to meet new moms. Music Together came into my life at a great time and added harmony and joy to my new parenting skills. I was quickly recruited to teach and eventually co-owned Music Together of Park Slope.
Our second son Jack was born and I felt a tug to move home to Connecticut in 2000. I set out to spread Music Together all over from Glastonbury to Guilford and points in between. Sharing the joy of teaching Music Together with an amazing staff is what I celebrate on this birthday. These caring talented women are more than trusted colleagues, they are friends.
I think I get to make a wish!
May all of you experience and cherish the comfort and joy that song and dance can bring to family life. Now and always. Grooving in the car, singing in the shower, concerts in the park, dance recitals, parades, weddings...
